Looking to become more relevant in the daily fabric of the community, the Ipswich Historical Society changed names and refocused mission. Before the name change a steering committee was formed where we assessed the benefits and drawbacks of renaming and what that meant for the history and future of the organization. Once the name change and mission was approved, I developed the identity and materials to convey the scope of their new programs and expanded vision. The visuals and messaging were created to convey a more personal connection with their audience and a shared commitment to the deep history of the town and the neighboring community.
